Can living by the Mediterranean bring you happiness? And if so, what does that happiness look like? Joan Manuel Serrat's song Mediterráneo poetically describes the colourful life on the Mediterranean coast. Argentine-Dutch singer Erminia Fernández Córdoba cherishes warm feelings for this song, as she grew up in Alicante in Spain.  

Thijs Borsten finds nowhere more relaxing than on the Greek coast. He has been spending summers there with his Greek-Dutch wife for 35 years. At the same time, people in need risk their lives by trying their luck on the other side of the Mediterranean.  

Thijs and Erminia go in search of artists living or settled on the Mediterranean coast to share their stories and music about their lives there.
