Why does every child make tents, huts and cottages? Is the feeling of home then under a roof? And can you also feel at home with someone else? Or is home perhaps just inside yourself?

Mime actor and maker Achref Adhadhi and musician and improviser Kristján Martinsson both live in the Netherlands, but Achref is from Tunisia and Kristján from Iceland. Yet they both feel at home here. But what is the feeling of home? In this poetic and funny performance, Achref and Kristján search for where, when and how to feel at home in a play of mime and live music. Because feeling at home is about more than just east, west or living somewhere. After all, you can feel at home anywhere!

‘For this reviewer, the highlight was the moment when Adhadhi and Martinsson sing together Nenni Nenni Jek Ennoum, a lullaby every Tunisian knows by heart. Going by this golden oldie, Adhadhi's Arabic flows smoothly into Martinsson's free translation into Icelandic - one of the most elegant bridges between two sharply contrasting cultures I have ever seen struck on a performance floor.’ - Theaterkrant.nl, April 2024

Mime actor and creator Achref Adhadhi makes visual theatre. His performances often feature serious subjects, which he delivers without words and with light-hearted humour. For this performance, he collaborates with musician and improviser Kristján Martinsson.
