De Zingende Strijkstok (The Singing Bow) is the sequel to the moving program Troubadours; the story of plucked string instruments from different corners of the world. In this ‘sequel’, the spotlight is on bowed string instruments in collaboration with the NBE.

The Japanese-Brazilian Chieko Donker Duyvis and the French-Algerian Nesrine sing and play cello in a wide range of timbres and genres. The Mongolian throat singing of Enkhjargal Dandarvaanchig (also known as Epi) not only blends with the traditional Mongolian ‘fiddle’, the morin khuur, but also with the Blazers. Meanwhile, Nesrine’s electric cello catapults the history of string instruments into future galaxies.

Second ticket free for local residents
Do you live near Podium Mozaïek? Neighbourhood residents with postal codes 1055, 1056, 1057, 1061, 1062 and 1063 can now order a second ticket for free if they buy one. This applies to all Nederlands Blazers Ensemble concerts. Tickets can be ordered online. We may ask you for proof of address.
