AmsterDans International Competition
In this competition for dancers and choreographers, participants compete for prizes that could help them flourish in the professional dance world. Young dance talent from many countries will perform and the doors will be open to the public.
During this 8th edition of the competition, there are categories for the dance genres ballet and modern contemporary dance. There will also be choreographies in a dance style of choice for the category 'Emerging choreographers.' On Saturday, March 29th, the children (8-11) and juniors (12-14) will be showcased, and on Sunday, March 30th the young adults (16+) and the choreographic pieces.
They can perform solo, duets, and group works.
The ‘Emerging choreographers' category is open to all ages, and the prizes go to the choreographer of the performed piece.
International dance jury
All dancers will be judged by an international expert jury. This year, the jury members are:
• Andrea Leine, co-director of LeineRoebana Dance Company
• Evan Schwarz, director of the Henny Jurriëns Studio
• Esther Protzman, Teacher at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague
