A Historic Evening with Film Screening & Concert

On March 25th, The Last Poets bring their powerful message to Amsterdam for an evening filled with poetry, music, and dialogue. Podium Mozaïek and Black Soil Film Festival will kick off the night with a screening of the documentary The Last Poets / Made in Amerikkka ([click here for info & tickets]), followed by a live Q&A with the members of The Last Poets themselves. The film offers an intimate portrait of their journey, influence, and activism over the years.

The evening continues with The Last Poets live in concert, delivering their captivating spoken word, supported by and in collaboration with the enchanting musical arrangements of the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra: Daniel van Huffelen (double bass), Haytham Safia (ud) and Mohamed Al Mokhlis (ud, banjo). Special guest performances by Dutch poets Gershwin Bonevacia, Zaïre Krieger, Luan Buleshkaj, and Manu van Kersbergen.
